would like to invite you to be a part of the 2008 Columbus Day
Tournament to be held October 11th, 12th,
and 13th at Shaw’s Field in Sanford, ME.
Sanford is located 1˝ hours from Boston, MA and 2˝ hours from
Providence, RI. Boys and girls teams U – 9 and U-10 (6 v. 6),
U-11 and U-12 (8 v. 8), U-13 and U-14 (11 v. 11) are invited to
participate. Teams in the U9, U-10 and U-11 division will play
four games, two Saturday and two Sunday. All other divisions
will play a minimum of three games Saturday and Sunday with
advancing teams playing playoffs and championship games on
Monday. Trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd
place teams at the U-12 division and above. For the U – 9, U-10
and U-11 divisions each player will receive a participation
award.
As in previous
years, we are anticipating approximately 100 quality soccer
teams. Every effort will be made to accommodate the schedules
of teams traveling long distances to participate. Also, we
recognize the desire to travel to tournaments as a club. We
will accept all teams applying from a club as long as the
registration forms are sent as a group prior to August 15th.
Our tournament runs rain or shine, although we reserve the right
to postpone or reschedule in extreme weather. To secure a place

tournament, no refunds will be given for cancellations or no
